What it does

Voice lets you choose the voice Doeviz uses for announcements. The page lists the voices currently available on your phone and lets you preview them. On Android, you can also choose a different speech engine.

How to use it

Open “Voice” to browse available voices. Selecting a voice plays a preview immediately. Once the app confirms that it works, it becomes the current selection. Your choice is saved automatically when you leave the page, and Doeviz uses it for later announcements.

On Android, Doeviz includes a built-in speech engine that is ready to use when the app is installed. Its online voice service is provided by vivo. You can also install another text-to-speech engine and select it under “Speech engine.” Changing engines changes the available voices.

If a voice or speech engine cannot be loaded for now, the app suggests trying again or choosing another engine.
