Shake

What it does

Shake lets you choose which feature runs when you shake your phone. Set it up to pause reading or quickly open a frequently used page without looking for its controls on screen.

How to use it

Choose “None” or “Pause reading,” or choose to open Video call, Explore, Document reader, Instant text, Chat, Navigation, Pick a photo to recognize, Card scanning, Credit balance, Pedestrian signals, or Elevator floors. The settings page shows your selected action.

During walking navigation, shaking the phone uses the Shake option in Navigation settings to announce information such as remaining distance or your current location. It does not run the action selected here. Your general Shake action takes effect again after you leave walking navigation.
