Destination guidance
What it does
After walking navigation announces arrival, Destination guidance continues using sounds and speech to tell you the direction and remaining distance to your destination relative to your current position. It helps you find your way along the final stretch.
When to use it
Use it when you have heard “You have arrived at your destination” but are still unsure which side the destination is on or how far away it is. Keep listening to understand its position relative to you.
How to use it
Starts automatically: Destination guidance starts when navigation announces arrival; you do not need to start it separately. Turn it off on the arrival page if you do not need it. That choice is remembered, and it will not start automatically the next time you arrive at a destination.
Direction and distance: While enabled, sounds and speech continuously indicate the destination's direction and remaining distance from your current position, helping you keep looking after navigation announces arrival. Guidance may be less precise if the location error is large. You can use Video call to help determine where the destination is.
