Main tabs and features
The tabs at the bottom of the app give you access to its main sections.
Vision: Use your camera and phone sensors to understand your surroundings. Features include Video call, Explore, Walking Assist, Pedestrian signals, Elevator floors, Document reader, Card scanning, and Instant text.
Navigate: Accessible navigation to help you travel independently. Its spoken guidance is designed around how blind and low-vision users travel, turning information that conventional navigation apps show on screen into speech. It also includes many features specifically designed for these users.
Chat: Ask Doeviz questions, or send pictures from Photos for identification and description.
Settings: Manage your credit balance, speech rate, voice, navigation settings, Siri Shortcuts on iPhone, Home Screen shortcuts on Android, shake actions, feedback, Help, and About.
Call Doeviz: The “Call Doeviz” button is always available at the top right of the app. Use it to talk to Doeviz, ask it to look around, open a feature, or explain what a feature does and how to use it.
Each feature description covers an introduction, when to use it, and how it works.
